This spacious 3 bedroom Gulf of Mexico beach house has a great Gulf-front location, located directly on the white, sandy Gulf beach, with a Crow's Nest for unsurpassed Dauphin Island views!
Nice place but the beds are in dire need of replacement. Was unable to get a good night's rest.Beds were very painful on the back.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Sandbar. The directions were helpful and the house was child and pet friendly, just as you had indicated. Dauphin Island is beautiful and not very far from our home in New Orleans. We plan to return. Thanks for your help. Cheers, Kim
I'm 6'5" so a king size bed would have been a big plus for me. The blinds on the sliding doors to the decks need a lot of help. It was a very good experience despite the earthquake! Hope to return!
Nice location, beautiful view of ocean and 360 degree I also enjoyed the view of full moon right from the deck.
We loved being right on the beach - it was fabulous. This is a very spacious place. The deck was incredible and we spent lots of time on it overlooking the ocean
We stayed in this beach house for my sister's birthday celebration. There were eight of us, spanning three generations. Everyone had a great time. We loved walking down to see the sunrise and the sunset, or just to stroll along the beach. THree bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths is a perfect size. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. We were able to pay a pet fee at the last minute so my sister could bring her little dog along. There were really no negatives. This was a very good experience1
We found our 5 day winter stay on Dauphin Island to be quite relaxing. Our stay was evaluated with the goal of bringing our families down during the high season. The home was well-equipped and well-stocked. It was a comfortable home--with a few issues that are easily corrected: The pillows were worn and flat, and the mattresses were thin and hard. The TV was very small by today's standards and the stereo system was simply a glorified boom box. There were only 4 deck chairs which were ridiculously low and uncomfortable. Dauphin Island: white sand, beautiful blue water, and . . . nearby oil rigs dotting the waterscape! Very distracting and unsightly considering the rental prices commanded. The bird sanctuary is marvelous, the local restaurants are good, if a bit overpriced, and nearby Bellingrath Gardens was the highlight of the trip. However, there is not much for younger adults to enjoy. It's perfect for those of us who only want to surf-fish and sunbathe.
We had a great time everyone enjojed it,would love to come again soon. Everything we needed was ther the weather got a little cold but we still enjoyed eveyything about it. wouldnt mind comeing back very soon maybe you have some discounts for us.
